Chiddingfold Community Project 2019

In May 2019 we were pleased to donate materials for a project undertaken by a team of volunteers in Chiddingfold, who each year take on a project to help a local cause, charity or event, in addition to organising the annual Chiddingfold Bonfire.

On this occasion the team helped a family who had sadly lost their young daughter to an accident in 2018.  In addition to the devastation of losing their daughter, a member of the family was bravely battling cancer too.

The team cleared a substantial part of the family garden to create a haven of tranquillity and reflection.  We were pleased to donate 3 bulk bags of Welsh plum slate, geotextile and some timber to this project, whilst other local companies also donated additional materials too.

Commenting on the project, volunteer Simon Manuel said:  "It was amazing to bring about such a transformation in one day, we have sprinkled some happiness and hope into the garden which is now a very special place for contemplation."
