Fernhurst Beaver Scouts wrote to thank us for some timber offcuts which our Haslemere branch donated for their wildlife project in spring 2016. The project was part of a badge that the children were working on.
From the donated offcuts they made several bird boxes and hanging feeding tables, as well as a bug hotel. Their leader told us that the children enjoyed making these items, and using hammers and nails was an added element of danger for them ... but luckily they didn't need to use the first aid box!
The Beaver Scouts added that it was thanks to our generous donation that they were able to have the opportunity to take part in such activities.
