Plaistow Youth Club 2019

During summer 2019 our Haslemere branch was pleased to donate 5 litres of Ronseal garden paint and 40 face masks for a Graffiti Day run by Plaistow Youth Club (PYC).

Year 6 pupils from Plaistow and Kirdford Primary Schools were invited to join the senior youth club and experience street art with a graffiti artist, and the designs were translated onto panels around the tennis court.  Our donation of garden paint was used to coat these panels beforehand, and our face masks were worn by the children whilst using spray paints.

PYC is a charity club which relies on parents to run and organise the club, which is funded by subs and tuck.  The club also raises funds through discos and special occasions.  It is based on Winterton Hall, next door to Plaistow and Kirdford Primary School, and Jacob Wigmore is the resident Team Leader.

The Chairlady of Plaistow Youth Club - Victoria Campling - wrote to thank us for our donation, adding that the kids had the most amazing day and without our help it would not have been possible.
