Bushy Leaze Children and Families Centre in Alton is an inclusive nursery which has nearly 100 children, 32 of which are placed by the local authority with significant special needs.  They also have a family service (a registered charity) which supports a large number of families across the Alton area.

In early 2022 they contacted us to see if we would be able to help them by donating various materials to freshen up their outside spaces for use by the children.  Specifically they were in need of roofing to replace the roof on their mud kitchen, as well as other materials including play sand, fence stain and bark.

Our Alton branch was pleased to donate the materials they needed to be able to continue to provide a wide range of outdoor opportunities for the children.

Speaking on behalf of Bushy Leaze, Helen Porter thanked us for the donation and added:  “Bushy Leaze are incredibly grateful for the donation from Coomers.  We have managed to enhance all the outside areas of our nursery.  Staff members and parents gave up a Saturday to work and the children were delighted when they saw the improvements.”
