Coomers Golf Day 2022 Coomers Golf Day 2022

Coomers Golf Day 2022

On 7 October 2022, for the first time in three years - due to the pandemic - we were able to once again hold our annual charity Golf Day.  This time it was in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care and we thank all who attended and helped to raise a magnificent £1,015 for this very worthy charity.  It was great to be out on the course again and able to welcome customers and staff back to play 18 holes at Blacknest Golf Club.

As usual, the day began with coffee and bacon rolls before heading out on the course.  This time though they played Texas Scramble format, which proved to be a popular choice.  The winning team consisted of Stuart Knight (from our Alton branch), Jamie Messenger, Craig Kelly and Steve Brown.  We also had Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive and Target Golf challenges, for which trophies were awarded to Ian Murray, James Corner and Ricky Fordham respectively.

Afterwards the players enjoyed a 2 course meal and drinks in the clubhouse, followed by the trophy presentation.  The day was kindly supported by Hunter Plastics and we thank Hunter and Blacknest Golf & Country Club for a successful and enjoyable day.

You can view the album on Facebook.
