Oak-tober Fest 2023 Oak-tober Fest 2023

Oak-tober Fest 2023

The organisers of the first ever “Oak-tober Fest” beer festival, held at Oakhanger Village Hall, wrote to thank us for sponsoring the event, which was held during the weekend of 29 Sep – 1 Oct 2023, over three four-hour sessions.  All in aid of the upkeep of the Village Hall – a registered charity serving the small but vibrant community of Oakhanger for over 100 years.

Over 200 people attended the festival and nearly 600 pints were sold, 35 bottles of prosecco and nearly 150 portions of food served.  Importantly an incredible £3,600 was raised for the village hall – all of which goes towards the annual running costs which have increased substantially over the past couple of years.  Any surplus will go towards repaying the loan taken out to complete the refurbishment four years ago.

The event exceeded all the expectations of the organisers, who said it would not have been possible without the support of their sponsors.  By sponsoring Oak-tober Fest, ourselves and other sponsors enabled the organisers to ensure they had a fantastic choice of beers and cider available, as well as the ability to book fantastic local talent to appear on the music stage rigged with professional standard lighting and PA system.

By all accounts it was a brilliant weekend which showcased Oakhanger village and ensured that the Village Hall can continue to be an asset to everyone in the local community.  Due to the success of the event, discussions for hosting a similar event in 2024 are taking place!
