What is Millboard composite decking?

Millboard wood-free decking is made from a unique combination of resin and mineral stone, yet is hand-moulded from natural timbers so it's almost indistinguishable from real wood, whilst also outperforming it.  Being made from low-carbon material, it has been rigorously tested to ensure its production has minimal impact on the environment.  Unlike traditional decking, Millboard requires virtually no maintenance other than a simple wipe clean with water and washing up liquid.  It's available in a wide variety of stunning colours and finishes and comes with a 25 year residential warranty.  What's more, it's proudly designed and crafted in Great Britain!

Where can Millboard be used?

Millboard is extremely versatile and can be used in practically every outdoor space to enhance decks, balconies, roof gardens, boardwalks, bridges, pontoons, seating, steps, planters, around swimming pools and more.  This article suggests some alternative uses for Millboard, including cladding gates and unsightly walls.

What are the benefits vs traditional timber decking?

  • Slip resistant
  • Does not rot or warp.
  • Low maintenance (no staining/sealing/varnishing needed).
  • Stain resistant.
  • Resistant to algae (no scrubbing or pressure washing needed).
  • Wood-free, so unaffected by damp and insect larvae.
  • 'Lost head' fixing.

What styles and colours are available?

  • Enhanced Grain:  Moulded from selected smooth timber with hand colouring, recreating the subtle nuances that only natural wood can give.  Highly durable with exceptional anti-slip properties, each of the shades showcase the grain beautifully.  Available in 8 colours.
  • Weathered Oak:  Beautifully aged and utterly timeless, moulded from 100-year-old reclaimed oak timber, and hand-coloured with authentic tones.  It has an instant worn look and retains its natural beauty for decades and offers an almost maintenance-free surface with very high slip-resistance.  Available in 3 colours
  • Lasta-Grip® Combines the attractive appearance of Enhanced Grain boards with a unique textured design that offers the ultimate in slip-resistance, without the rough feel of conventional gritted strip boards.  Perfect for areas where safety is paramount but appearance is important.  Available in 2 colours.
